It is surely heavenly when the house smells of freshly baked biscuits !!!
The delicious biscuits are loaded with almonds, ghee and are so easy to make, absolutely melting in the mouth..
Preparation time : 5 minutes
Baking time : 10-12 minutes
Servings: 25 pieces
Almond Naakhatai biscuits (eggless recipe):
Wheat flour (1/4th cup)
Maida (3/4th cup)
Sugar (1/2 cup)
Baking powder (1/2tsp)
Almonds (powdered) – 1 tbsp
Crushed almonds – to coat the biscuits
1. Grind the sugar with elaichi, to get a powdered elaichi flavoured sugar.
2. Mix all the ingredients except the crushed almonds , with the powdered sugar and form a dough.
3. Now make small roundels of the dough and cut a tiny cross on top of each, with knife.
4. Sprinkle crushed almonds on top and bake them in a preheated oven at 190℃ for 10-12 minutes or till golden colour is obtained. Cool them and serve.
